the great progress in modern chemical industries with
their advantage, herbs and herbal oils have obviously a
lot to offer. Most of us tend to forget that humans have
almost always depended through history, except for the
last fifty years, on plants for treating all forms of
diseases, whether internal or external.
And we, Kessab
Herbs Group, are concerned with helping through our
research to offer the best remedies for the treatment of
cases afflicting the skin, epidermis and hair with our
products of soap, creams, shampoo and treatment oils.
Today, herbal
remedies have come to the surface again due to the
weakening efficacy of chemical compositions. And the use
of herbs and their oils is witnessing today an exciting
revival in the west. And worry over the side effects of
the use of chemicals in modern medicine has encouraged
people to look for forms of natural treatment that is
more gentle on the skin and epidermis. Statistics show
that 10-20% of people in western hospitals are there
because of the side effects of chemical remedies and the
use of chemical compositions in cosmetics such as
creams, soap, shampoo and other products.
Whereas the
use of herbs is very safe, we «Kessab Herbs Group» have
decided to use in our manufacture of soap, creams and
shampoo, herbal substances and their oils also extracted
in our factory in a developed manual way in order to
preserve the largest possible amount of the properties
of such plants while conducting modern scientific
research and study to make sure that all our products
are totally free of alcoholic substances, industrial
coloring agents and chemicals. They are 100% natural,
and analysis will prove this.
Our laboratory
has the complete studies conducted by the most prominent
American, Australian and European Universities in the
world that take interest in the study of herbal
(aromatic) oils. And our laboratory experiments
conducted on oils depend on studies and percentages
issued by such universities as to determining iodine,
saponification value, acid value etc…
How do you distinguish between our company’s natural
laurel soap and the other commercial kinds on the
market?
The oils extracted in our factory are subjected to
complete tests in the company’s laboratory to ensure
their conformity to international specifications before
use, as previously stated. As to oils not extracted in
our factory, they are purchased on the basis of duly
certified laboratory reports. Tests are done on them to
make sure they conform to international specifications.
1. The color
The natural distinctive color of Kessab Laurel Soap that
we produce in our factory is an unconventional color
resulting from the water extracts of herbs and the color
of the herbal oils used. So, the color cannot be as the
known yellow, green, blue and so on. It is a combination
of colors not on the list of the basic colors as is the
case with the kinds of soap on the market. The soap
available in the market under laurel brand is yellowish
white, which is proof of the low percentage of laurel
and the percentage of other plant oils such as sunflower
oil, Soya oil, cotton seed oil and other transparent
yellow oils. Our soap’s distinctive color is a proper
sign of the high percentage of natural laurel oil in it,
along with water herbal extracts that we use instead of
water. We are one of few in the world to add water
herbal extracts in the soap and cream industry instead
of water to reach effective magical results.
In addition, we extract in our factory the oils of leafy
plants rich in chlorophyll that is very useful to the
epidermis and body. We are the only ones who produce
this type of oils in Syria, in our factory equipped with
advanced manual equipment.
2. The fragrance
The distinctive fragrance of Kessab Laurel Soap, of all
kinds, is worthy of admiration. One can enjoy this
lovely fragrance of the herbs and oils that are part of
the careful and distinctive composition of our products.
Our experts with their unique expertise have worked on
giving our customers the best results. You experience in
soap types A and B the diffused fragrance of laurel
while in type A-2 you have the fragrance of pure olive
with a mixed fragrance of pine and laurel. With the rest
of the types, in whose composition are the water herbal
extracts, you feel a different distinctive fragrance
like incense mixed with the aroma of laurel and olive
and the rest of the other oils. This is where we are
unique in this feature which sets us apart from other
soap producers in the world.
3. What do you feel after a bath
We you use a laurel soap available in the market,
especially the kind manufactured according to the cool
method, you feel an irritable itching which is the
result of using high quantities of caustic in the
manufacture of this kind of soap. In such a soap PH=10
or more, while the proper rate of PH must be around 8.
The aim of the producers is to be able to produce and
market the soap during a period not exceeding ten days.
This type has many negative effects, as it irritates the
epidermis and sensitizes the skin. In the long run, its
effects are greatly harmful, but we shall not go into
details now.
When using
Kessab Laurel Soap produced in our factory, you get the
refreshing feeling of rest along with softness and glow
of the skin. This is the result of the carefully
considered rates of PH, plus the other natural oils that
make up the soap, and the long period of drying, and the
inspection of a sample from each batch produced in our
factory to ensure its conformity with the approved
specifications.
Our company
has a collection of certified scientific researches
concerning more than 35 (aromatic) herbal oils. These

Laurel, olive,
Australian tea tree oil (TTO), sesame oil, cactus, wild
pine, basil, aniseed, myrtle, black caraway, jasmine,
chinaberry, cypress, thyme, chamomile, dandelion, white

A-1 (for oily hair) Natural Kessab Laurel
Soap
To
treat dandruff plus softening, strengthening the

antiperspirant, gives the hair softness and

vitamins. It is made up of 12 natural oils +
water herb extracts especially prepared by
Kessab Herbs.
This
type of soap contains a careful high percentage
of natural Kessab laurel oil extracted in our
factory to maintain quality and avoid deception
when buying laurel oil from dealers. Also a
carefully studied quantity of good olive oil fit
for eating plus other quantities of walnut
leaves oil ; coconut, almond, thyme, cactus and
sesame oil plus compounds of the extract of

A-3 (for dry hair)
A
soap antiseptic to the scalp. In addition, it

In
this industrial age with its polluted
environment and crowded cities, diseases and
especially dermal diseases are easily

specialists decided to produce this type of soap

"Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) is a
very harsh detergent found in

Ethoxylation:
Ethoxylation is the process that
makes degreasing agents such as
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS)
less abrasive and gives them
enhanced foaming properties.
When SLS is ethoxylated,
it forms Sodium Laureth
Sulphate (SLES), a compound
used in many shampoos,
toothpastes, bath gels, bubble
baths, and industrial
degreasants. The problem is, the
extremely harmful compound
1,4-dioxane may be created
during the ethoxylation process,
contaminating the product.
1,4-dioxane was one of the
principal components of the
chemical defoliant Agent Orange,
used to great effect by the
Americans during the Vietnam War
to strip off the jungle canopy
to reveal their enemy.
1,4-dioxane is a hormonal
disrupter believed to be the
chief agent implicated in the
host of cancers suffered by
Vietnam military personnel after
the war. It is also an oestrogen
mimic thought to increase the
chances of breast cancer and
endometrial cancer, stress
related illnesses and lower
sperm counts.
Dr Samuel Epstein
(Author and research Scientist)reports: "The best way to
protect yourself is to recognise
ingredients most likely to be
contaminated with
the1,4-dioxane. These include
ingredients with the prefix
word, or syllable PEG,
Polyethylene, Polyethylene
Glycol, Polyoxyethylene, eth (as
in sodium laureth sulphate) or
oxynol. Both polysorbate 60 and
polysorbate 80 may also be
contaminated with 1,4-dioxane.
